A few things I've noticed over the past few days in the aftermath of hurricane Charley here in Orlando:
- When most of your neighborhood has trees down and no power, you get to meet those neighbors you've been meaning to talk to.
- When most of the roads surrounding your house have trees across them, you find new routes to old places.
- People are either too stupid or too inconsiderate to realize that when a traffic light it out, the intersection becomes an all-way stop.
- Even though you have no power, you will automatically turn on the light switch when entering a room. The exception is when you have a flashlight in your hand.
