voting for the lazy person

Laziness is not an excuse to not vote. Here's how to vote with minimal effort:

  • If you aren't registered, do it online. You don't have to leave the house, although it wouldn't kill you to get out.
  • Request an absentee ballot. Call or email your state/county election agency. Some states require you to vote in person the first time. Use this as a chance to give the couch a rest.
  • Fill out your ballot and mail it. Do this before the deadline. Do it well before the deadline and put an extra stamp on it for good measure–some of those ballots are heavy.
  • Hope 2004 isn't a repeat of 2000 and your vote isn't thrown out.

Wasn't that easy?
